Hello from a cool & overcast free afternoon,
I'm featuring 'One Soft Afternoon' today because it's one of my faves.
This is the snug view from a Sunday in early January, in the little kitchen of a 1oo year old house we lived in for a couple of years, out where Monroe Street rounds the bend and becomes Odana Road. Everyone was out shoveling the shared driveway, I stayed in the quiet and recorded the feel of the home I was leaving.
The jam jar lids, in the doorway jam, I've been collecting for years. I made the drapery from white cotton sheets, of course. I made the quilt, the cloth napkins, the pillows, the strings of bead-like things, the Peace sign stencil, and the pen & ink/watercolor painting is "Marzipan Rose and the Big Bloomin' Band, On the Outskirts".
